Godly spiritual psychology helps us become aware about our life’s purpose. The psychological development of the human being is a psychological process of development of the self consciousness, process described by C.G.Jung as individuation, a process which happens during our entire life. Through the individuation process, the human being becomes a unified and unique individual, a unitary and integrated person. This process depends on the family patters, cultural patterns, education, the roles in the community, it depends on society and the entire human evolution throughout history. We are shaped and influenced generation after generation. We believe that our life’s purpose is to become an “Adapted self” and this purpose is something beyond our pragmatic values, something mysterious and unreachable. The “modern man” does whatever he or she wants but does not recognize his or her true Godly origin. The Godly spiritual psychology clarifies the nature of the relationship between the human being and the Godly eternal essence which is the Self from the perspective of the authentic spiritual traditions. How well do you know yourself? How well have you self-evaluated throughout your life? What are your own automatism schemes? What are your mental patterns, your emotional patterns or the patterns you act by? Continuous self observation will always help you identify your own believes, your mental patterns and your mental strategies. The discipline of practicing the self-observation method will help you become aware of your patterns and automatism, of your defence mechanisms and it will help you contribute to your own self-healing process. Explore and reach your own Godly essence which is right within you. What is your purposes in this life? What do you think is important to you in this life? Answering these questions will offer you a new perspective. You will see yourself in a captive world in which all you do is run and run day after day trying to fulfil your desires and then to consume them. And during this running you suffer and feel anger, or feel powerless and become tired and bored. And maybe once in a while, in this weird flux of your life you will experience moments of happiness and you will think those are lucky moments. Is this all that life is? We got too used and in a wrong way, to think that it’s normal to feel these negative emotions and to suffer. Most often we become fixated in our own wrong believes about life, we complain, we blame the outside conditions and choose to be passive. We don’t do anything and we don’t even ask ourselves: why do I suffer, why am I unhappy? The truth about ourselves is right in front of our eyes but we do not recognize it.
Saint Exupery’s 'Little Prince' invites us to reflect on the Godly source, 'the spring of fresh water that we do not yet see' and which truly nurtures us. Continuing to search, the Little Prince eventually found a spring of fresh water and remembered what the fox told him previously: 'It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.'
The essential is almost always invisible to the eyes of the person who does not feel unending love. When we start to pay attention to ourselves, we will have a new perspective on ourselves every single time. With each moment we become aware about what we feel when we reflect on our Godly nature, we get a step closer to the Godly truth within us.
